Market intelligence for Nigerian poultry

What is your bird actually worth today?

Egg prices, bird prices, and feed prices move week to week and state to state — but most farmers are pricing off word of mouth. We're building the price board Nigerian poultry never had.

LGAs across Nigeria, and no shared price board between them

A farmer in Kebbi and a farmer in Oyo are both guessing at what a crate of eggs or a bag of grower feed should cost this week. Government survey data exists — but it's scattered across agencies, released on a lag, and wasn't built for a farmer checking prices before market day.

TheNoilerFarm brings the official numbers and the numbers from the ground onto one board, so a price is something you can check, not something you have to guess.

What we're building

Four pieces, built in order, starting with the data itself.

01

Market prices

Eggs, live birds, day-old chicks, and feed — tracked by state and by week, pulling from official price surveys and verified market observations.

In progress
02

Disease watch

Outbreak reports for HPAI, Newcastle disease, and other poultry health events, sourced from the national and international animal health registries.

In progress
03

Research library

Searchable summaries of published poultry research — nutrition, Noiler and Kuroiler performance, disease management — without the paywalls.

Planned
04

Farmer network

A place for farmers to submit what they're actually seeing at their local market, so the board gets more accurate the more of us use it.

Where the numbers come from

We're building on official statistics, animal health registries, and open research — plus what our own farmer community reports directly. We publish our own analysis of these sources, not raw copies of their datasets, and no individual farmer's submission is ever shown on its own.

Some of these sources restrict commercial redistribution without written permission, and every dataset we use is classified before it's published — open data we can show directly, licensed material we analyse and cite instead of copying, and farmer or supplier submissions we only ever show as aggregated, anonymised numbers. Full detail will live on our Data & Methodology page at launch.
